ITR deadline: What happens if you don't file income tax return by tomorrow

The extended deadline to file income tax return is on August 31. The Income Tax department had extended the due date for filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR) from July 31, 2018 to August 31, 2018. If you have not filed your ITR by now then you must do it by tomorrow, August 31 or you stand to face penalty.
